Blogorail - Food and Wine Must Dos

Welcome to those of you joining us from Pursuing the Magic and those of you just hopping aboard.  We are the 4th stop on our Magical Blogorail.

On this month's Blogorail blue loop we're discussing our must dos at Epcot's Food and Wine Festival.  Readers of the CanaDisney Blog know that Halloween is our favorite time to visit WDW, and that also conveniently overlaps with Food & Wine at Epcot!  Here's a few things we recommend if you're visiting:

Visit the Food and Wine Festival Welcome Center- F&W HQ is located in the Wonders of Life pavilion.  The pavilion hosts numerous seminars (some require a separate paid ticket apart from park admission), everything from culinary to wine to mixology presentations.  And even if you're not interested in, or unable to attend the seminars, a visit to the Welcome Center is well worth it just to spend some time in the former (not normally utilized) Wonders of Life pavilion.

Eat to the Beat Concerts - The America Gardens theater hosts concerts 3 times nightly during the Food and Wine Festival.  Featured acts are usually "nostalgic" acts from the 70's, 80's and 90's.  If you've wanted to take in an Air Supply or Starship concert, Eat to the Beat is the ticket for you.  And best of all admission is free!

Snack Around the World - Located throughout the World Showcase are booths representing various countries (including our favorite, the country of Cheese).  This is a great way to sample new types of food without committing to a whole meal. And best of all if you're on the Disney Dining Plan, your snack credits can be used for most purchases!  Be sure to stop by Canada for a bowl of Le Cellier's famous Cheddar Cheese soup - no ADR or Signature dining required!

Visit on a Weekday - The single most important  tip we can give to maximize your Food and Wine Festival enjoyment is to go during the week.  Crowd levels on weekends during the festival can get pretty unbearable, especially in the evening hours.  And also, stopping at every country for a drink doesn't always bring out the best in some visitors, to put it delicately.  You'll likely have a much more enjoyable F&W experience if you go during the week and avoid the crowds.

Thank you for joining us today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is CanDoItMom aka Mouse Fan Diane.
